Tiger T-6, Aka Romeo of Ranthambore’s life story depicts a saga of survival and resilience as he stands against all odds of nature by keeping himself in a dominating position inside the park. T-6, also known as Romeo, is a male tiger known for his charm and dominance in Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan. This is a tale of territorial wars, with Romeo’s reign marked by his fathering of many cubs in the park. His legacy as a powerful figure in the park is intertwined with the stories of his fierce protection of territory and his romantic pursuits, earning him the nickname "Romeo".
The giant tiger in the current territory of Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve is located in the tourist-free Chiroli area of the park.
T-5 (female of Kachida) had already produced her first litter of two males and one female sired by T-2, a dominant male. T-6, nicknamed Romeo, is one of them. His history of rearing is not well known. His sister T-8 is still a resident tigress of zones 6, 7, and 8, whereas his brother T-7 has been shifted to Sariska Tiger Reserve under the restocking program on 23 February 2011.
After leaving the mother, T-6 (Romeo) settled in zones 4 and 5, made up of Aadi Dagar-Lakarda, Berda-Semli, Bakola, and Anatpura, where he met T-41, a tigress in the prime of life (Laila). He was later spotted mating with her in Semli and Berada Valley. In 2011, Laila produced her first litter of one female cub with T-41.
In 2014, T-6 and two subadult tigers clashed in a territorial conflict. (T-75 and T-75). For that reason, due to territorial disputes, he occupied the territory of two subadult tigers, and T-6 was pushed towards the Chiroli area of the park.
